Passion 2024 Opener

Created for Passion Conference 2024 in a sold-out Mercedes-Benz Stadium with more than 60,000 students in attendance, this opener challenged the traditional high-energy conference format. Beginning with the spectacle attendees expected, the film gradually stripped away the production and pointed toward a simple truth: authentic worship begins with a surrendered heart.

01

Creating films that shaped both the promotion and experience of Passion 2024.

Passion 2024 brought more than 60,000 college students to Mercedes-Benz Stadium for a gathering centered around worship, teaching, and spiritual formation.

The team needed two films with very different goals: a brand and vision piece designed to help students and donors connect with the heart behind Passion, and the main conference opener shown live in the stadium to launch the event experience.

Rather than creating typical hype-driven pieces, the team wanted the films to feel intentional and authentic — shaping how people understood worship and the purpose behind the gathering.

02

Using storytelling to move audiences toward deeper purpose.

The two films served as critical creative elements of the broader Passion 2024 campaign and live event experience.

The vision video combined interviews from six different voices with conference footage to communicate the mission and impact of Passion in a personal, human way — supporting both ticket sales and donor engagement.

The opener began like a traditional high-energy conference film, then gradually stripped away production elements to make a simple point: authentic worship does not depend on lights, music, or atmosphere, but on a surrendered heart.

Both pieces were built for a massive live audience, with a focus on clarity, pacing, and emotional impact.

03

Helping shape a sold-out gathering of 60,000 students.

Passion 2024 was fully sold out, with more than 60,000 attendees filling Mercedes-Benz Stadium for the gathering.

The costs of the event were significantly underwritten by donors, leading to a highly reduced ticket price that made attendance possible for many college students.

Together, the films helped shape both the promotional campaign and live experience of Passion 2024, supporting the mission of the gathering and influencing how it was experienced in real time.
